Unify was founded January 17th, 2023 by Austin Hughes (former Ramp) and Connor Heggie (former Scale AI). Prior to Unify, Austin led Ramp’s growth product team focused on new customer acquisition, and Connor was a machine learning research engineer at Scale. Other members of the founding team come from companies like Airbnb, Spotify, and LinkedIn.

About the Role

As our Founding Technical Recruiter, you’ll be a foundational pillar of Unify as we scale massively this year. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels in technical recruiting, is supremely organized, holds a high talent bar and spikes on ownership and drive. If you’re an exceptional IC technical recruiter or an amazing manager who wants to build 0-1, we’re looking for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Make Hiring a Company Competency: Build the hiring “rails” on which the company will run. Ensure hiring managers open great reqs, run A+ recruiting processes and help the company make outstanding hiring decisions.
  • Own Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process from sourcing and screening to offer negotiation and onboarding. This will be across the organization, with a focus on engineering.
  • Source Top Talent: Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to build a strong and diverse pipeline of candidates using platforms like LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and other technical communities.
  • Maintain an Insane Talent Bar: Bring creative and high-conviction ideas to help us hire at scale with a very high talent bar. Employer branding, events, content, social, and more - all fair game.
  • Drive Candidate Experience: Ensure every candidate has an exceptional experience, reflecting Unify’s values and culture throughout the hiring process.

What You’ll Need

  • Proven Experience: 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with a strong focus on technical roles (e.g., software engineers and frontend/backend developers).
  • Sourcing Expertise: Demonstrated ability to source and attract top technical talent through creative and proactive sourcing strategies.
  • Supreme Organization Skills: Strong organizational skills with a track record of managing multiple roles and candidates simultaneously while maintaining a high bar for quality.
  • High Drive and Ownership: Excited to roll up your sleeves and tackle 0-1 problems in an organization with limited process
  • High Conviction and Action-Oriented: Structured thinker with the ability to present recommendations to executives, support with data and execute on ideas quickly

About this role:

The annual salary/OTE range for this role is $140,000-$160,000, with a target equity package and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) options. This position is onsite in either San Francisco, CA, or New York City, NY, offering the invaluable opportunity to work closely with a talented team in a dynamic, high-energy environment.
